From Chicago, To St. Louis, Back To Chicago, To Dallas, To San Marcos, To Austin, To Seattle, To Bangkok.
Guess it all began by consuming wacky, sugary cereals (think Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Cap'n Crunch et al) soaked in cold, whole milk while watching classic American cartoons on Saturdays (think Looney Tunes, Hannah-Barbera et al), and The Three Stooges and The Little Rascals, visiting neighborhood Mom & Pop shops, 711 and White Hen Pantry convenience stores, and eating Italian Beef Sandwiches at my Dad's best friend's joint called Little Joe's, which is still in business! Hail hail!!
But let's begin in Austin, Texas, where a young English literature major was cruisin' down Guadalupe Street (aka The Drag) in a 1974 Chevy Nova w/ a semi-souped-up, 350, V8-engine, w/ vintage R.E.M. blarin' on the Pioneer car stereo, as he was tryin' to find a cool parkin' spot near the original Texadelphia location. And it just all went 'Ka-Bloom' from there. 555!!!
